I’m Devyn Husband, and I am a registered midwife based in Vernon, BC. I serve both Vernon and the surrounding areas, including Lumby, Armstrong, Enderby, Salmon Arm, and Lake Country. I was born and grew up in Vernon. After a number of years away, I am thrilled to be back and serving the community that raised me.
About Devyn
After I completed my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Victoria in 2017, I found my true passion in midwifery. I completed my Bachelor of Midwifery degree at the University of British Columbia in 2024. I previously worked in the Lower Mainland, serving a large and varied population centered around one of the busiest maternity units in the province.
I also see great value in educating the next generation of midwives and healthcare practitioners. I have taken part in teaching opportunities both in BC and abroad with the Midwifery Society of Nepal (MIDSON).
Supporting families is my passion. I understand the importance of being trusted with one of the most vulnerable experiences in a person’s life. I feel honoured to help families grow and thrive.
I am licensed to practice through the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives. I maintain current continuing education in accordance with provincial standards.
My approach is evidence based, safe, and client centered.
Midwifery services
Devyn provides care and support across the childbearing year, including:
- Prenatal care and advocacy
- Clinical care and support during labor and birth
- Postpartum recovery and education
- Newborn care in the first weeks of life
She supports clients who plan to give birth at home or in the hospital. She also supports clients who are still deciding. Care is tailored to each family and grounded in informed choice.

Devyn is based in Vernon, British Columbia. She serves Vernon, Lumby, Armstrong, Enderby, Salmon Arm, and Lake Country.
New clients are welcome to reach out early in pregnancy, since midwifery spots fill fast.
